THE PERSIAN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
THE PERSIAN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
The inaugural Persian International Film Festival will showcase the rich diversity of filmmaking currently flourishing across Afghanistan, Iran and Tajikistan and attracting international recognition.
The Festival’s four day program includes six feature films and a number of shorts from both emerging and multi-award winning Persian filmmakers. Many of the films are Australian premieres and cover a range of genres from the deeply dramatic to quirky comedy. To see the full program visit the website - www.persianfilmfestival.com.
In tribute to the Iranian Golden Globe® Award winning and Oscar® nominated director Asghar Farhadi, the Festival will include a special screening of his internationally acclaimed film A SEPARATION; Iran’s nomination for the 2012 Oscars®.
The Farhadi tribute will continue from March, in collaboration with the University of Sydney, with the screening of his four earlier feature films followed by an audience and panel discussion.
The Persian International Film Festival is an independent, non-religious, non-political festival.
